The trust which oversees health care in Skegness has appointed a new deputy director

A NEW deputy director of nursing and clinical governance has been appointed to the trust which oversees health care in Skegness.

Michelle Persaud has been appointed to the post by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

She joined the Trust from Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust where she was employed as associate director of nursing, quality and patient experience.

Michelle, who has 33 years of NHS experience, started her career as a learning disability nurse in 1984. She has worked across the country in a variety of posts including, in-patient, day care, education and community nursing, as well as being a nurse consultant.

Trust director of nursing and operations, Dr Julie Hall, said: "I am delighted to welcome someone with Michelle's experience and commitment to our Trust.

"She has a national track record in professional nurse development and improving quality. I am sure that Michelle will help us drive our vision and strategy for nursing across the organisation.
