ALTHOUGH snow is still very much evident in Skegness, it seems it is business as usual as schools re-open and gritting ensures main roads through the county remain clear.
Yesterday (Monday) children enjoyed the extra day off school as snow and freezing temperatures forced school and businesses to close their doors and roads ground to a halt as motorists struggled to make their way through thick snow – up to 16cm being recorded on Monday morning.
But, thanks to gritters working through the night and very little fresh snow, everything Is back on track.
Motorists are still being urged to take care and avoid back roads where possible as snow turns to ice.
