Police name Alford driver who died in Gunby car crash

POLICE have confirmed that a 28-year-old who died in a car crash near Gunby at the weekend is Lewis Thomas James of Habertoft, Alford.

Mr James was killed sometime in the early hours of Saturday morning when his car, a grey Seat Leon, left the dual carriageway at Station Road and collided with a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An inquest will be opened in due course althought this is likely to be adjourned date to be fixed to allow for the completion of the police investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the accident, or who may have driven past the crashed car after it happened, is asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 92 of February 16.
